Boncrete is White Portland-Limestone Cement which is characterized by its high whiteness of exceeding 90 based on Hunter L scale and possesses uniform composition and good workability.
• White mortar is obtained by mixing BONDCRETE with pure and light sand.
• Colour mortar is obtained by mixing with pigments.
Use
Bondcrete White Cement is often used in general building works when aesthetic appeal is priority. It is an obvious choice in the formulation of wide range of mortars such as masonry mortar, plastering and rendering. The performance of mortar will depend on the properties of sand, mix design and site practice.
Aggregates
The aggregates have a major effect on the appearance of the finished concrete surface. The aggregates should therefore be selected, stored and used in an appropriate way so as to meet the aesthetic demands to the finished concrete surface. The mix of the aggregates should be kept as constant as possible in order to avoid differences in shade of the finished mortar surface.
Application
BONDCRETE is often used as binder in various types of mortar, decorative grout and together with lime in a lime-cement mortar.
Admixtures
All admixtures should be colourless to avoid discoloration of the white or light mortar.
Admixtures that act upon the setting and hardening should be used in accordance with usual guidelines. To ensure the requestes white colour it is recommended always to make trial mixes
Tools
Tools used for the mixing the mortal should be stainless steel in order to preserve the white colour
